Artistic interludes
In addition to dancing and culinary delights, the Vienna Ball Luxembourg traditionally offers a variety of artistic interludes. For the ball year 2023, the stage belongs primarily to young and aspiring female Luxembourg artists:
The 200th birthday of an extraordinary person
To honor the poet Edmond de la Fontaine, called "Dicks" on the occasion of his 200th birthday, singer Deborah Marinkovic, accompanied by Georges Urwald on piano, will present three selected works:

Luxembourgish singer, dancer and actress Deborah Marinkovic started her career with 14 years of dance training, during which she was able to discover her passion for singing and acting.
​
Training in classical singing and musical singing followed, as well as numerous projects, including her participation in the ensemble "The Duke's Singers", since 2017 or the production "Um Stamminee" with the "Mierscher Kulturhaus" in 2021.
As German teacher, Deborah also leads the theater group of her high school to share her knowledge.
Elegant violin: a sublime performance for an unforgettable evening
Violinist Cathy Heidt will present us with the following memorable pieces:

The Luxembourgish violinist Cathy Heidt has been playing the violin since the age of six. At the age of 16, she moved to Berlin, where she completed her bachelor's degree at the Universität der Künste in 2020. Since then, she has been pursuing her master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.
Cathy gained orchestral experience as an academist with the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and currently with the Academy of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. Concert tours have taken her to South America, Europe and Asia.
She was invited to renowned international festivals such as the "Encuentro de Musica y Academia Santander" in Spain and the "Manchester Music Festival Vermont" in the USA and received the gold medal at the "concours européen de l`UGDA Luxembourg" as well as the first prize at the Elise Meyer Competition 2022 in Hamburg.
